What is your favorite John Mellencamp related memory? And Why?
A group of us saw Farm Aid in 2002 at Burgettstown, PA. I loved the roar of the crowd when he took the stage and the energy he displayed while playing his songs.

Small Town... I was born and raised In Ligonier, Pennsylvania. A town with a main street heading all 4 directions from a beautiful town square...known as The Diamond. By the way Indiana also owns claim to a town of Ligonier.
Farming was a major industry in the Ligonier Valley. I grew up on a dairy farm. Family dairy farms once dotted the landscape of Ligonier. Coal mining and coke was a major industry in the early to mid 1900's in and around Ligonier. The song Small Town always takes me back to my roots when I hear it. No matter where I am on the map at the time it plays, my mind goes back to Ligonier.
I have this fantasy that at a Class Reunion, out in the country, John Mellencamp would come over the hill on a flat hay wagon playing Small Town. Then he would proceed to party...in our small town with us.
