Joan Sullivan
John's music is representative of my transition into adulthood Hanging out with friends, blaring his music on the car stereo all the way up to the lake, on the boom box at the river and all the way back home. Our summer days were spent listening to his music all day and into the late night. It’s just a part of my identity Anyone that knows me knows I’m a fan and that’s what they’ll remember about me. I’ve been told that when they hear his music it reminds them of me and I love that.

My 2 favorite memories that come to mind are.
The last concert I went to because it was the closest I’ve ever been to the stage and I kept trying to get his attention hoping he’d see his logo tattooed on my shoulder and then most recently, my experience at The Guitar Store in Seymour. It was amazing just seeing the mural but I got an amazing tour from Mrs McDonald and a couple years of souvenirs from Matt. I’ll cherish the experience forever. And I am looking forward to the fundraiser at the arts center next weekend.
I’m so thankful for my career as a travel nurse , it’s given me the opportunity to make a lifelong dream of visiting Seymour come true.

Way too many to list but at the top would be
- Your Life is Now-It came out around the time my dad passed away so the lyrics just resonated with me.
- Minutes to Memories
- Ain’t Even Done with the Night
- This Time
- Peaceful World
Just to name a few from my younger years. I honestly could go on and on and on.
It’s hard to verbalize the WHY of each one, it’s kinda one of those, “Ya had to be there” things to understand. The older songs are the soundtrack of my late teens/early 20’s and I’ve been hooked from day one. I love his lyrics, the melodies and the messages his of his music and I love the feelings they invoke within.
