Missy Scarlett
As a kid, I just liked the music and his voice, and the fact he was one of our own around here, but now I appreciate all the lyrics in his songs even more so. He is a great, natural-born storyteller. I don't know any other catchy "little diddy" songs quite like his.

What is your favorite John Mellencamp related memory? And Why?
Traveling on the bus on the way to a track meet in high school with my team, I remember a couple of times all of us singing along, belting out some of the main verses to a Johnny Cougar song that was on the radio. I think it unified us and pumped us up for the competition!
What is your favorite John Mellencamp song/album? And Why?
I really love most of the main hits. In Paper and Fire, I like the fiddle by Lisa Germano --, and one day years later, I realized that Lisa Germano lived across the hall from a friend of mine and got to meet her, so that was sort of cool.
